Battenberg cake, scones, clotted cream and raspberry preserves, finger sandwiches, loose leaf brewed tea and fruit tarts.  Is there anything more girly or as beautiful as a porcelain tea set and petit fours?  It makes my heart sign with joy to sit and enjoy this time-honoured tradition.  My baking partner Stefanie (A.K.A. Thelma) helped with the preparation and consumption of this mouth-watering fest.

Afternoon tea or low tea is a small meal snack typically eaten between 4pm and 6pm.
